A Letter from Our Director
Hello Parents and Guardians!

Welcome to my consulting firm web page! It would be my honor to advocate for your child specifically, and it is my honor advocating for the future of our society in general. Originally from Abbeville, Louisiana, I received my bachelor's degree in General Studies at the University of Louisiana, Lafayette in 1998. Upon graduation, I connected with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America to enable young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. I became a youth development professional servicing youth teens and young adults in community outreach. I later established my career goals to become a certified educator and taught students while working on my Master’s in Special Education. I have had the pleasure of working with special education students in elementary, middle and high school settings throughout my career. In addition, as a high school coach, I have helped student leaders secure athletic scholarships to pursue their education and career goals.

My journey began with the driving force of sports, family, and community leadership. State championships in track and field, top honors as a basketball point guard, and work with the Special Olympics molded me to become the leader who I am today. During my sports journey, I developed skills that led me to establishing community relationships and partnerships that focus on sports, education, and community leadership.
I went on to earn a second Master's degree in Education Leadership from Louisiana State University in 2022. I founded Elevate My Education Consulting to expand my role as an education advocate for scholars with exceptionalities. I partner with parents and guardians to support them as they negotiate- and sometimes fight- with school systems to ensure their scholars receive the educational support, available opportunities and related services they need to be successful.
On a personal note, I aspire to become a foster parent upon retirement. My passion to protect and be a champion for vulnerable children is what motivates me. In the meantime, my goal is to help parents and guardians develop the understanding and confidence they will need to manuveur the grade-level educational process and prepare for their child’s next steps in higher education or vocational training.
